Who We Are
Floé Feminine Hygiene Foundation (FFHF) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to ending period poverty and restoring menstrual dignity for disadvantaged girls and women across Nigeria.
We believe that access to menstrual hygiene products and information is not a luxury, it is a right. We believe that no girl should miss school, suffer stigma or face health risks because of her period and menstruation should never be a barrier to education, opportunity or self-worth. Through our programmes, we aim to bridge gaps in menstrual health access, education, policy, sustainability and research.

Our Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals
Through menstrual health education, community outreach, research, and access initiatives, we are committed to improving dignity, equity, and opportunity for girls and women across underserved communities. Specifically, our work aligns with five Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being. Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
Our work supports menstrual health education, access to menstrual hygiene products, and improved health awareness for girls and women in underserved communities.
Through hygiene workshops, community outreach, and access initiatives, we help promote healthier menstrual practices and improve overall well-being.

SDG 4: Quality Education. Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
Period poverty is a major barrier to school attendance and participation for many girls. By improving access to menstrual hygiene products and education, we help girls remain confident, present, and engaged in school.
Our programmes contribute to safer, more supportive learning environments for adolescent girls.

SDG 5: Gender Equality. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
We work to reduce stigma, promote dignity, and improve access to essential menstrual health resources for girls and women.

SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
Menstrual hygiene management is closely linked to sanitation, hygiene awareness, and access to safe facilities.
Our educational initiatives promote proper hygiene practices and support healthier menstrual management within communities and schools.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
We collaborate with schools, communities, researchers, NGOs, corporate and development partners to strengthen collective action and expand impact.
By addressing barriers linked to menstruation, we contribute to greater confidence, participation, and empowerment for girls in schools and communities.
